This winter break i am doing a lot of stuff,mostly hanging out with friends though. This weekend coming up i have a lot of Christmas shopping to do for my family and friends. My sister is coming down from north Carolina on Friday so she will be taking me shopping on the weekend. Monday is Christmas eve we don't do much,but we go to my church for a service where we sing songs and hold candles.

On Christmas ill be waking up at like 6 and wake everyone up and we will open our gifts and then start cooking for lunch in the afternoon,and then go back to sleep,then my grandma and aunt are coming over to celebrate with us.its a very chill day.

The rest of the week ill hangout with my friends and use my Christmas gifts and whatnot.On that next Saturday I'm going to see Anthony Raneri play a solo show,he the lead singer of Bayside and they are my life.but that is what i am most excited about for break,its going to be very nice and its at my favorite venue the social.

It seems that the writers strike is coming to an end.

The Writers Guild of America represents both the news writers and the entertainment ones involved in the labor disputes with CBS, but the writers operate under separate contracts. All the networks and Hollywood studios have been hit by the scriptwriters’ strike, but only CBS News would be affected if the news writers went ahead with a strike.
The Dec. 10 debate was never scheduled to run on the entire CBS network; instead, individual stations would have been able to choose whether to broadcast it. The debate would have taken place from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Pacific time, putting it into prime time in most of the country’s time zones and making it unlikely that many stations in the Eastern or Central time zones would have chosen to carry it.

The grateful Pilgrims then declared a three-day feast, starting on December 13, 1621, to thank God and to celebrate with their Indian friends. I celbrate thanksgiving with my family.This year me my mom and my dad are having a thanksgiving breakfast with my sister and her boyfriend,and then at night we are going to my grandmas hosue adn celbrating dinner with my aunts un cles grandma sister adn brother. My last nine weeks was okay i guess it was better than i had expected.I didn't expect to have too much fun but i ended up having a lot of fun in school and with my friends.To improve this nine weeks i think that i am going to do more of my work and try harder so that i can get very good grades.I also want to start attending all of the pep rallies that the school has so that i can have more fun.

Yes i think i have gotten started on the right path to accomplish what i want because i am in digital design and that is what i want to do when i get older. I would love to be the graphics designer for Victory Records that makes their graphics and banners for the victory records bands,that is my dream job. I have started doing more of my work and getting my grades up so that is also accomplishing what i want to. I am very happy with what i am doing in life for now hopefully things will go as i want them too.

The word Halloween is derived from the term "All Hallows Eve" which occurred on Oct. 31, the end of summer in Northwestern Europe. "All Saints Day," or "All Hallows Day" was the next Day, Nov. 1st. Therefore, Halloween is the eve of All Saints Day. Apparently, the origins of Halloween can be traced back to ancient Ireland and Scotland around the time of Christ. On Oct. 31st, the Celts celebrated the end of summer. This was important because it was when animal herders would move their animals into barns and pens and prepare to ride out the winter. This was also the time of the crop harvests. This annual change of season and lifestyle was marked by a festival called Samhain -- pronounced 'sow-ane' and means 'end of summer.' Sow rhythms with cow.

There was much superstition associated with this time of change including the belief in fairies, and that the spirits of the dead wandered around looking for bodies to inhabit. Since the living did not want to be possessed by spirits, they dressed up in costumes and paraded around the streets making loud noises to confuse and frighten the spirits away. In addition, the new year began for the Celts on Nov. 1. So, the day of Samhain was believed to be a day that was in neither the year past or the year to come. Since it was in between, chaos ruled on that day. Often, people would pull practical jokes on others as a result.

Later, around the 5th century, as the Catholic Church developed and moved into the area, instead of adding a new day to celebrate, it took over the Samhain celebration. Nov. 1st became "All Hallows Eve" where all the saints of the Catholic church were honored. A later custom developed where people would go door-to-door on Nov. 2, requesting small cakes in exchange for the promise of saying prayers for some of the dead relatives of each house. This arose out of the religious belief that the dead were in a state of limbo before they went to heaven or hell and that the prayers of the living could influence the outcome. This may have been the precursor to Trick-or Treat.

I don't like anything about why this lady got prosecuted because all she did was put her songs out for other people to download.Not everyone has money to buy the songs and albums for a dollar a song on itunes so i think it is fair that people steal music on limewire and kazaa because that's the way of hearing the music and if you like it a lot then you will go out and buy the album. I do not think this is fair about what is happening to her they could have at least just warned her before fining her with that much money.

If the Power went out and the Internet went away and it was like we were living in the 1800's i would be upset and kind of mad. I use technology for everything everyday and i don't know what i would do without it.I would have to start carving into cement to write stuff down and i wouldn't have any communication with my friends other than talking to them.

If it was like the 1800's again it would be horrible for so many reasons.One being that there would be no air conditioners and its so hot in Florida so it would make everything nasty. Everyone would always be sweaty and smelly and people would probably get dehydrated a lot more than they do now. Also it would suck because everyday we all use some kind of technology whether it being the computer,TV,cellphone,etc.. and that would take away from a lot of people.

The last reason why it would be really and if we lost power and it was like the 1800's is that we wouldn't be able to listen to music because if all of our technology was taken away then we wouldn't have Cd's mp3's or anything. That would be the most critical thing to me because i always listen to music and life would be dull and boring without it,I'm sure a lot of people can relate to me with that as well.

Some things that have happened to me in life that made me realize things are like my friends. I know that i have been in situations were i need their help and my true friends are here to help me and the other "friends" didn't so i found out who my true friends are so it wasn't too bad.

Another thing that made me realize things is when i do bad things i wonder if my parents would still love me. so i tested them well not intentionally but i did by making stupid decisions like going to parties and my mom ended up finding out and she said she lost my trust even though i am always the responsible one when i go to parties. After a few days she got over it and i realized she would love me no matter what i did.

Something else that has happened that i never though would is also to do with my friends but family as well. My mom decided she wanted to leave my House for 2 weeks to have time to herself and that got me very angry so i left the house with a few Friends and walked around deltona all night. My mother ended up calling me and yelling at me to get home so we all then ended up walking back to my house and my mom sent all of my friends home and proceeded to have a "family discussion" with me but she wouldn't listen to anything i had to say and i know in this situation i was right for what i had done.i ended up getting grounded for 2 weeks from everything.all in all i learned that i should have told my mom what was going on to begin with and this did not end well at all.

I consider the first piece of technology in the world to have been the radio.I consider the radio the first piece of technology because everybody uses the radio and they used to way back when. Even very old people used to use the radio that is how people found out about what was going on around the world. During the wars that is how people found out when the troops got bombed or even when we came to peace.

The radio was used with everyone,people used to bring their radios everywhere with them.That was there television to us,they didn't have television but they had to find out the information some how and that's how.They would bring their radios into the streets and dance to jazz.The radio made everyone happy.Radio's aren't used as much now as they used to be because now we have televisions to tell us about news and we have Cd's and ipods to listen to music on.But we still used radios in our cars while we are traveling when we don't have TVs.

Technology effects me a lot everyday!without technology i don't think i could live seriously.Everyday i use a lot of technology.I wake up i put on music on my CD player in my room i use the toaster,and go on the computer for most of the day,i text message,talk on the phone,watch Disney on TV,play games on my game systems and so much more that i cant even think of right now.Technology is a huge part of my life.without it i don't know what i would do.

I have thought about what i want to do in my future and that is to become a web designer but i am now leaning more towards being a graphic designer because i think that i would like it more. Being a graphics designer would be awesome because I Love to work in Photoshop and create images.I would Love to work for a record label and design graphics and banners for bands.

I plan on accomplishing my goals by going to school and getting the proper education and degree that i will need to succeed in the Field of my choice which is a graphics designer.I will go to the University of Central Florida,I'm not sure what degree i am going to get yet but ill at least be in college for a few years.

My grades are alight, the last report card i got a had a 3.0 i got 3 A's and a c.This year as of right now I'm not doing as well as i want to because I'm falling behind in my English 3 honors class and its very hard to catch up. Other than that class i think I'm doing very well I'm hoping to get at least a 3.0 again for the upcoming report card because i know i have to have a high GPA to make it into UCF.

Today i feel OK the meaning of today is sad because of the twin towers but those people are always in my thoughts so I'm okay with today.I don't understand why somebody would want to hurt so many people and kill so many also.i came to the conclusion that terrorists must have absolutely no hearts at all. I am sad for all of the families that have to go through the mourning of the deaths of their friends and family no one should have to go through anything like what happened on September 11Th 2001.

I also feel mad about what happened on September 11Th because of what it has done to America.IT has torn America apart and made us into the state of being in war. and i feel so much hatred towards the president for what we are doing over seas and how it didn't have to lead to this. I just wish everyone would have peace and be happy and not mad and there be all of this war.

This school year feels great to me.Way better than the other two years that i have been here. I like all of the new things we do with the school now its fun. I think is awesome that we won cool school it will make the image of our school look better than the "crime ridge" image that we have had for a while.

I love that we have been winning our games and get on board day was good for freshman but not really for the others because e already know about most of the clubs and sporting teams. The new principal is really nice and i like the changes he has done with the school,including the bells and the lunches.My favorite thing would have to be the changes made with lunch,my least favorite would be not having panther pause but lunch by far makes up for it.

I am not really interested in any extracurricular activities at school. Some that i may be interested in are the art club thing that Mrs.Cornine teaches and only that because i could work on my art sculptures that i make in ceramics 2. I was interested in basketball but i wouldn't fir in with that group i only wanted to join basketball because I'm tall and it would be something to do. I'm fine with what I'm doing now going home and hanging out with friends at my house. I Will not be joining any of them because i have better things to do than stay at school later. If there was something that involved computer and photoshop i would stay after school for that though.

Being cool school of the week doesn't really mean that much to me but it looks very good on our school and I'm glad we won it because our school has improved a lot this year from the past 2 years i have been here.Some positive things for fox 35 to broadcast could be our new bell schedule and our new bells. also some things they could video would be like interviews of students asking what they think of our new principal and the changes he has made. I think that they should definitely talk about the freshman village in the video because that's one of the best things the school has done.

I like the new things about school this year a lot. My schedule is great it is probably the best schedule i have had since i started Pine Ridge. My first block is English III honors with Mrs.Collins its very boring but ill get used to it. My second block is Astronomy with Mrs.Sartore its cool also boring but better than first block. Third block is this and its one of my favorite classes its a lot of fun and i love the assignments we get. Fourth block is Ceramics II with Mrs.Cornine its also a lot of fun i enjoy it a lot we make some interesting things.

The lunch schedule is awesome this year,i have lunch with all of my friends and its longer so that's a plus i also like how the freshman have their own lunch away from the upperclassmen. I also love how we go to lunch and then go straight to fourth block after instead of going back to class and working more. The new bells are kind of weird and calm but ill end up getting used to them eventually. I have been having a very good first week and i can tell this year is going to be a lot better than the past two years.

The first day of school went great, way better than my other first days at Pine Ridge. I got up early around 6am and got dressed and ready and went to my friend Kristin's house and her mom brought us to school around 6:45 we went and found our Friends and went to the lockers to put our stuff in them and went to first block it was boring just the usual first day stuff. than i met up with my friend Roslyn and went to second block it's with Mrs.Sartore so it was interesting she's a funny teacher. Than to third block which is this class we talked for a bit and started on an assignment. after 3rd we went to lunch it was a lot of fun the best lunch ever like all of my friends have this lunch so I'm glad.Than after i went to fourth block and it was super boring in ceramics because we hadn't started any projects yet so we just sat there and colored.
